Attendees will learn how the iPad can be used in the machining workplace with a focus on predictive maintenance. The main areas of maintenance discussed include vibration analysis, dynamic balancing, thermography and alignment. Other useful apps and accessories will also be discussed. These include, but aren’t limited to: PDF viewers, intrinsically safe cases, reminder applications, note applications, specialized calculators, and educational/training apps. The talk will be current and updated with any new technologies developed in 2014; as the technology and applications on this platform are continually improving. The topic will be welcoming enough for those new to predictive maintenance, but include new trends and technologies that experienced reliability experts will want to hear about. Attendees will be empowered by the end of this talk to take their iPads and put them to good use at their workplace.
