Find that Competitive Advantage at HANNOVER MESSE

The theme of this year’s trade show is Integrated Industry, which relates to making industrial production smarter and more efficient.

The second annual HANNOVER MESSE Preview meeting took place on January 31, 2013, at the Hannover fair grounds in Hannover, Germany, to provide insights on what to expect when the show opens on April 8, 2013. The theme of this year’s trade show is Integrated Industry, which relates to making industrial production smarter and more efficient. For instance, in the near future, intelligent materials will be able to tell machines how they should be processed, and components will be able to issue their own maintenance and repair requests.

“Direct communication between the various systems involved in production will facilitate material and energy savings and make processes much faster and more efficient,” says Dr. Köckler, member of Deutsche Messe’s Managing Board.

In addition to the various forms of technical and electronic networking, Integrated Industry encompasses the challenge facing all areas of industry seeking to cooperate across corporate and sector boundaries.

“In the future cross-industry alliances will be even more important than they are now,” Dr. Köckler comments. “Among other things, the focus at HANNOVER MESSE will be on knowledge transfer and new forms of collaboration. Alliances between industrial companies and software providers is just one example of this.”

HANNOVER MESSE 2013 is really 11 tradeshows in one, providing a representative cross-section of all key industries. The 11 tradeshows cover Industrial Automation; Motion Control, Drive, and Automation (MDA); Energy; MobilTec; Digital Factory; ComVac; Industrial Supply; Surface Technology; Industrial Green Tec; and Research & Development.
