Many manufacturing professionals attended the Methods Machine Tools’ Technology Center opening in San Leandro, California May 14-15, 2014.

San Leandro, California – Methods Machine Tools Inc. held a successful Grand Opening at their new state-of-the-art Technology Center in San Leandro, California on May 14-15, 2014,  with approximately 300 manufacturing professionals in attendance. To further celebrate the occasion, following a ribbon cutting on May 14, Methods held a sake-barrel smashing, a traditional Japanese custom to grant good fortune to the new technology center.

The new 10,280ft2 facility has been established to support Northern California, Oregon and Washington. Located at 650 Whitney Street in San Leandro, the technology center features the latest machine tools and automation technology with application engineering experts and service / support staff based on-site.  

“The grand opening was a resounding success. We are proud to officially introduce our new facility in California and enjoyed having our customers and other manufacturing professionals attend the event,” said Fernando R. Garcia, general manager, west coast operations. “Methods is committed to bringing the best machine tools, solutions and support to the west coast market.  We have an 'Open Door' policy and welcome customers anytime to visit our Technology Center, preview a demonstration and discuss their applications with our engineers.”

Garcia continued, "Further demonstrating our commitment to local customers, we are pleased to announce that Methods is now directly representing the Nakamura line in Northern California, Oregon, and Washington." 

Machines on display in the Methods' San Francisco Technology Center include Methods’ line of YASDA precision machining centers, Nakamura multitasking turning centers, FANUC RoboDrill vertical machining centers & RoboCut wire EDM machines, FEELER high performance machining centers & turning centers, KIWA-Japan horizontal machining centers, metrology solutions including VisionGauge Digital Optical Comparators, tooling, spare parts, and more.
