Learn about the presentation
The presentation will showcase various scenarios of typical machine tending applications, starting with simple tactical solutions requiring low investment and progressing to examples employing greater levels of sophistication. Participants will learn techniques to utilize machine tool table and spindle motion for achieving basic automation benefits, along with the advantages of flexible manual changeover of machine table clamping. We will discuss the benefits and considerations for deploying cobots/robots, again aiming for flexibility in changing workpieces.
Additionally, we will examine automated workpiece loading and clamping via pallets, enabling automated 'lot size 1' production.
Along the way, discussions will include considerations for early successes and avoiding common mistakes with automated handling and clamping. We will examine planning of changing workpieces, multiple machine operations, and infeed and outfeed of the machine. In ideal cases, the automation frees time for skilled employees, eliminating need for manual loading, cleaning of the table, and simple workpiece inspections.
