The compact Micro5 machining center, demonstrated at IMTS 2022 in booth #134542, is made for machining the smallest medical instruments and delicate parts for the micro-precision industry.
With a 5:1 ratio of machine to workpieces, 5x lower weight, and a much lower energy consumption than conventional systems, the 5-axis Micro5 machining center is compact, quick, and easy to set up.
The Micro5 offers high static stiffness, repeatability of 0.5µm, and target accuracy of 2µm. With excellent thermal stability, very high dynamic rigidity, and acceleration of 2g, the compact machine is made for HSM.

The central element of the Micro5 is a high-performance milling spindle that reduces machining time. Its rigidity ensures high precision and optimum surface quality and at 500W, the Micro5 consumes little energy. It’s operated by an intuitive human machine interface (HMI) panel, and has a noise level under 50 decibels.
Early users of the Micro5 wanted the machine to allow automatic loading for higher production capacity, so the Feed5’s 6-axis robot handles automated loading and unloading, particularly useful for enabling increased autonomy and productivity for longer production runs.
