AM consortium launched

The international nonprofit consortium energize.am has been established to harness the power of additive manufacturing (AM) to drive energy efficiency, sustainability, and supply chain resilience on a global scale.
In response to global geopolitical shifts and the growing need for energy security, energize.am brings together small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs), large corporations, and research institutions to build a collaborative network addressing priorities such as:
- Reshoring critical manufacturing to strengthen domestic supply chains.
- Advancing AM technologies to promote decarbonization and sustainable energy practices.
- Establishing industry standards for AM in energy and manufacturing applications.
- Developing workforce skills to adopt AM technologies at scale.
Founding members include Autentica, 6K, Continuum Powders, Wayland Additive, Holdson Dynamic Electrochemical Solutions, Additive Manufacturing UK, the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Cluster (NAMIC), Beyond Engineering Group, 3DPrint.com, and AM Research, among others.
The consortium’s work will be supported by government and private grants, with additional opportunities through licensing innovative platforms developed by its members. energize.am welcomes participation from SMEs, enterprises, and stakeholders committed to reshaping the future of energy and manufacturing. https://www.energize.am
AM whitepaper
Additive manufacturing (AM) carries unique benefits compared to traditional manufacturing. Production of everything from prototypes to end-use parts is faster, less expensive, easier to use, and more accessible than subtractive manufacturing. Investing in AM can greatly improve efficiency and agility while minimizing supply chain risk, while its automated processes reduce the need for specialized labor. Today, AM solutions are more reliable and effective than before. They have a wider range of capabilities and potential applications and can print parts addressing specialized needs. https://markforged.com
