This new feature from JobPack allows an operator to log-on to a job or work order with the touch of a finger to report time, status, and location. The operator simply touches the fingerprint reader to access the shop floor data collection screen. The system checks the finger print in the JobPack data base, and if authenticated, logs the operator into the system with an electronic time and date stamp.
This updates the graphical scheduler to provide a delivery date based on current machine / work center loading, and shows jobs and operations queued at each machine. Jobs can be rescheduled via drag-drop of any operation.
The scheduler can be used as a stand-alone system by the planning department, or as an integrated module of an existing ERP system. The integration provides for the automatic generation of a jobpack, queued at the shop floor PC when a job or order is released to the scheduler.
