The RT 100 X Point drill series, incorporate the newest generation of micro-thin film coatings to improve tool life and performance in a variety of materials. The RT 100 X drill has an point design that optimizes the chip formation characteristics of most materials while reducing the amount of tool wear caused by thermal and mechanical wear. The flute profile is designed to provide the maximum amount of coolant directly to the cutting zone while also aiding in chip evacuation. In addition, Guhring offers the X Point series with micro-thin film PVD hard coating called nano-FIREX.
