CHIRON Series 08 compact, versatile machining centers deliver high productivity and precision with minimum floor space requirements. With its modular design and numerous configuration possibilities, every 08 basic machine can be assembled into an individualized solution.
Series 08 machining centers are available with a single or double spindle for 5-axis simultaneous machining, with workpiece changing during machine operation for large quantities, and as a mill-turning machine for multi-functional machining from the bar. In addition, the precision+ designation includes all machine types with linear direct drive as further variants for the special requirements of medical and precision technology.

The Series delivers single-spindle machining centers in the vertical traveling column design, highly productive double-spindle machining centers with a spindle clearance of 200mm, and machining centers with NC swivel head with infinitely programmable positioning in the range of -20° to +115°.
The automatic tool change system offers a pick-up method in single or double version for the provision of up to 80 tools (HSK 32 or HSK 40). Table options include a fixed table with space for devices and NC rotary table assemblies for multi-sided machining in one setup. A 2-axis tilt rotary table in BC kinematics with a face plate provides the option of hydraulic or pneumatic workpiece clamping. A 2-axis tilt rotary table with AC kinematics and one or two face plates is designed for single- or double-spindle multi-sided machining. The workpiece changing device features table loading capacity up to 200kg per side along with large clamping surfaces (2mm x 660mm x 350mm), borehole pattern, and central distributor for energy supplies.
