OMAX's 2626|xp is the latest addition to the company's line of JetMachining Centers. With a positioning accuracy of ±0.001 in. over the entire 26 in. of travel, the 2626|xp meets many of the standards within the medical technology industry. The 2626|xp packs its features into a footprint of 57 in. x 55 in. In addition to this, the 2626|xp measures 92 in. in height, allowing the operator a clear line of sight of the surrounding production environment.
The 2626|xp has the capabilities to machine a variety of additional materials including plastics, glass, ceramics and composites. It is also equipped with OMAX's Tilt-A-Jet system, which can achieve virtually zero taper. When the system is in use, software automatically calculates and offsets the natural taper that results from the abrasive jet. The tank and slats are manufactured from stainless steel. The machine comes standard with OMAX software including Intelli-MAX cutting enhancements, Solids Removal System, 600 lb. Abrasive Delivery System, 60 kBTU Chiller, mounting points for EDM-style tooling, industrial water resistant keyboard and mouse, and the Precision Optical Locator for picking up secondary locations.
