Kellenberger now offers on their Kel-Varia cylindrical grinding machine the all-new Heidenhain GRINDplusIT control and as well as a central chiller system for the hydrostatics, electrical cabinet, spindle, and motors to ensure unprecedented thermal stability.
The Kel-Varia, which features hydrostatic slides, offers a high level of precision, accuracy, and versatility. The UR and URS models feature a unique swiveling wheelhead with two external (and one internal) grinding wheels. It's capable of performing multiple-series operations, including diameters, opposed faces, bores, tapers, polygons, tapered nonrounds, and thread grinding. The "no-lift" indexing B-axis (0.000030° resolution) allows any angle to be ground. 28 Wheelhead configurations are offered, including OD only (R), OD and face (RS), and "C-Axis" for "non-round" part geometries and thread grinding.
