The combination of hard to machine materials and very difficult contours is a big challenge in the medical industry. The biggest challenge for small parts or micro-parts is to avoid side force against the parts. This side force causes bigger tolerances or destruction of the parts.
JauchSchmider offers technologies to easily produce implants for knees and hips out of titanium. The basic is a one- or two-axis rotary table in a wire-cut, sinking, grinding or high-precision/highspeed milling machine. The goal is always to produce these parts in one or maximum two setups. JauchSchmider also offers different opportunities to produce small round parts like dentist tools, injection nozzles tips and micro cores for molds.
The technology comes originally from the high volume production of injection nozzles for the automotive industry. The newest development is actually a multi-spindle for round micro tools. This multi-spindle unit opens the opportunity to machine six parts in one step on a wire-cut machine.
The rotary tables from JauchSchmider are used in spark erosion machines, an also in high-precision milling and grinding machines.
