For the first time, MAG Industrial Automation Systems exhibited all 13 MAG brands at EMO, Europe's biggest show of durable goods manufacturing technology. Orders totalling over 150 million Euros for machines, tooling, and support services were generated as a result of the show.
With its new division Infimatic, MAG is entering into the control system business. Gabi Azran, Infimatic president, says: "We have succeeded in positioning ourselves as control experts. The first projects with potential customers are already being planned." Another important topic at the booth was the innovative service concept of the new European arm of MAG Maintenance Technologies. This service offering goes far beyond the customary standards in Europe.
MAG demonstrated technology breakthroughs in both metal cutting and composite processing. Dr. Robert Wassmer, MAG president, says: "Our new generation of machines addresses all important issues at EMO including high-performance cutting, composites, and dry machining (MQL)."
The MAG Giddings & Lewis horizontal boring mill, MAG Powertrain XK cold forming machine, NDM turning/milling machine with B-axis from MAG +FMS+, and the new NBH-models from MAG Hüller Hille attracted the most visitors and buyers.
