GENESIS ELECTRONICS MANUFACTURING, INC. ( G E M ) ANNOUNCES THE ADDITION of another Medical Device customer to its growing base of electronics manufacturing clients. As an Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) supplier GEM attained its highly regarded ISO: 13485 certification in 2003. Since that time the medical device market has become GEM's fastest growing business segment.
"Today medical device customers account for about 28% of our manufacturing business," said Scott Mauldin, president of GEM. "By year end we anticipate our medical customers will make up 30% of our manufacturing revenue, which is in line with our market strategy. While we continue to experience expansion in our other market segments, such as Industrial Controls, Communications Equipment, Aerospace and Security Products, our growth in the medical electronics segment is outpacing those other areas."
Genesis Electronics Manufacturing is located in Tampa, FL. GEM's service offerings include turn key electronic manufacturing services, depot repair services, and service logistics programs.
