Wilcox Associates, Inc, the software development arm of Hexagon Metrology, releases Version 4.2 of PC-DMIS 3D measurement software for CMMs and other measurement devices.
PC-DMIS is the core engine for a range of interoperable EMS (Enterprise Metrology Solutions) software products used in conjuction with on-machine, vision, multi-sensor and portable measurement systems.
Advancements include: innovative dimensioning capabilities including fit optimization for profile tolerancing; calculated flatness for a unit area and extended capabilities for evaluating symmetry features; streamlined, hypertext-like editing facilities that improve program readability and visualization; ability for users to group information as well as collapse and expand groups as necessary; improved processing of CAD files including the verification of IGES translations; and enhanced direct translations of CATIA V5 models using third party software libraries, among other user friendly improvements.
