High capacity VMC
The Mycenter-4XV is a vertical machining center (VMC) designed for job shop flexibility. It’s equipped with a 19.7" x 44.1" table and 40.2" x 20.1" x 20.1" X-, Y-, and Z-axis travels, making it ideal for large single workpieces, multi-fixtured components, or additional axes implementation. The 40T automatic tool changer (ATC) assures smooth and effortless tool changes and greater flexibility, boosting productivity and machining profits. A powerful, high speed, dual contact, 15,000rpm, 41hp spindle offers rigidity and stiffness for demanding cutting conditions.
Heavy-duty cross linear guides, fine pitch ballscrews, high-grade servo motors, feedback encoders, and Kitamura’s high precision assembly allow for high accuracy and smooth motion on the X-, Y-, & Z-axis. The Meehanite cast construction provides optimum damping capacity and vibration absorption. Kitamura’s intelligent advanced control system (IAC) consists of a series of strategically located sensors and machine efficiency monitors working together to control the effects of heat displacement to ensure continuous machining accuracy with ±1μm repeatability.
A large ergonomic work envelope with wide door openings enable easy part loading/unloading while high-speed rapid feed rates of 2,047ipm (X & Y), 1,890ipm (Z) boost throughput. Standard base wash system, internal chip augers, covered X & Y axes, and a scraper-type chip conveyor offer reliable chip management for a workspace free of chips and contaminants. The flexible conveyor configuration allows it to be placed on either the left- or right-hand side of the machine.
Equipped with Kitamura Arumatik-Mi Pro control, the Mycenter-4XV comes with many productivity boosting convenience features. A 15" touchscreen color LCD, 2MB of memory, high-speed, high-accuracy control with 8190 block look-ahead and 4,500 block per second processing speeds, and Super Smooth Surface (SSS) control are a few of the standard features incorporated to deliver part quality with consistent surface finishes.
