Kollmorgen has acquired MCS Engenharia Ltda., a Brazilian-based manufacturer and system integrator of standard and customized high-performance motion controllers and complementary motion control components.

Headquartered in Tamboré, São Paulo, Brazil, MCS is the largest domestic supplier of precision motion controllers, as well as the first Brazilian-based motion control manufacturer.
The acquisition combines both companies’ expertise, technology, and products, making Kollmorgen resources readily available to Brazilian machine builders and making MCS resources available to Kollmorgen customers around the world. Day-to-day operations at MCS will remain unchanged.
MCS is an ISO 9001:2008 certified company, with more than 15,000 controllers installed today. MCS controllers are utilized broadly in many markets, including: machine tool, packaging, textile, metalforming, lens generation, and specialty machines. In many cases MCS acts as solution provider by assisting OEMs develop and customize machines.
