Next-generation Swiss-style lathe

The M532 VIII Swiss-style lathe, capable of increasing to 38mm, improves productivity and operating convenience.

The M532 VIII joins the Citizen Cincom M line of turret-style Swiss turning centers. This 32mm capacity machine, capable of increasing to 38mm, improves productivity and operating convenience.

The standard 12 cutting axes include a B-axis for angular drilling and contour milling. The B-axis with three rotary tools on the gang tool post can change the machining angle, allowing users to handle slanted holes at several angles. Contouring with simultaneous 4-axis control is also possible with a -10° to 95° angle range.

A single drive mechanism eliminates wasted rotation of non-selected tools and enables machining with high accuracy while suppressing heat generation, vibration, and power loss. It also extends the lives of gears and bearings and reduces operating cost.

The U-axis on the back tool post accommodates holders at three positions – two positions for rotary tools, one for fixed tools – and up to nine tools can be used. All three rows are under Y3-axis control. Specifications of the O.D. milling spindle (GSC1310), 3-drilling spindle (GSE1510), and 3-sleeve holder (GDF1501) are common to those used on the gang tool post and can be used on the gang tool post and the back tool post.

A detachable guide bushing allows the machine to be used as a regular guide bushing automatic lathe for long and small diameter workpieces. Once the guide bushing is removed, it can machine short workpieces with less material waste.
