Originally designed for manufacturers in the die and mold industry, REGO-FIX's PG 10 is the latest addition to the revolutionary powRgrip toolholding system. Ideal for small part machining, the toolholder features long, slim contours and allows for a new level of long reach performance.
Since the powRgrip system does not use heat, the PG 10 is well-suited for holding small diameters and can be combined with the PG 15 and PG 25 for longer extensions. Like all toolholders in the powRgrip series, the PG 10 is balanced by design, improving part quality and surface finish, and lowering manufacturing costs. Additionally, all powRgrip PG 10 toolholders are balanceable up to 42,000rpm and are coolant capable.
The powRgrip system includes a holder, collet, and a mini-press that generates six tons of force. The system relies on the interference between holder and collet to generate its clamping force. The powRgrip system uses the mechanical properties of the holder material to generate tremendous gripping force with runout of less than 0.0001". Interchangeable collets are available from 1/8" up to 1", including metric sizes, and will hold both carbide and HSS tools.
The system is designed for easy operation and use, taking less than 10 seconds to press in a tool or remove it from the holder. Because no heat is used, tools can be used immediately after a tool change. Cycle testing exceeded more than 20,000 insertions and removals.
