EdgeCam Version 9 software's roughing options keep medicalshop machines running at high feedrates while maintaining quality toolpaths. Its Adaptive Feedrate options of the Roughing cycle function optimize toolpaths by automatically recalculating feed values depending on cut widths.
Cutting tools stay on parts without retracting thanks to a new spiral toolpath pattern. There are no longer sudden direction changes, and tool loads and material removal rates remain constant.End users benefit from semifinishing and finishing passes in one command with the software's Profiling cycle. With enhanced start and endposition controls, shops select the center of an area when specifying plunge and retract points. This is wellsuited for pockets with little room for approach.
A lace strategy and additional milltype control generate consistent finishes for machining shallow areas. And flatland detection makes for precise ledge finishing by machining down to specified Z offsets from the top of islands or pocket bases.
The Parallel Lace cycle controls cut directions relative to surface angles using new Up/Down Milling strategies. These strategies let users specify optimum cutting to suit machining surfaces.
Constant Cusp and Projection cycles feature contact angles for focusing toolpaths on specific model areas.
