Upgraded tool grinder
Mechanical improvements to the Star NXT 5-axis tool grinder design include higher system rigidity, improved contamination containment, and upgrade options for wash-down bed and coolant boost pumps. The machine’s control software features Flexium Tools’ NUMROTO 4.2.0 and can use an innovative solution for freeform grinding from ESPRIT CAD/CAM with 3D simulation and special capabilities for medical components.
The system can produce multiple part profiles within a single run, while an optional laser system can be integrated for automated tool marking. Real-time temperature, spindle hour, and bearing travel distance tracking supports preventative maintenance.

High speed optical CMM
CORE D, a 5-axis, optical CMM system provides 100% inspection at speed for measuring medical implants and other parts with polished, reflective surfaces and sharp edges. WM | Quartis software offers a simple, Microsoft-fluent interface to simplify complex programming.
At the heart of the system is a tiny, bright light that measures as accurately as a CMM without the need to touch the part. It can measure radii as small as 0.05mm.
