
THE L.S. STARRETT CO. ANNOUNCES THAT THEY ACQUIRED THE ASSETS OF KINEMETRIC ENGINEERING, LLC (Laguna Hills, CA) for $2.3 million. Kinemetric Engineering specializes in precision measuring technologies. The acquisition will provide synergistic opportunities for Starrett to further diversify its customer base, broaden the array of metrology solutions for industry, and continue to leverage its global brand strength.
Kinemetric Engineering specializes in precision video-based metrology, specialty motion devices, and custom engineered systems for measurement and inspection. Kinemetric's product line complements Starrett's existing metrology products that include optical measuring projectors and vision systems.
A long time technical partner of Starrett, Kinemetric Engineering brings a wealth of experience, engineering and manufacturing in video based metrology solutions. Starrett metrology products will now include Kinemetric's full array of product solutions along with the high quality line of Starrett noncontact measuring systems, to make one extensive, comprehensive product offering. Kinemetric will now team with Starrett to oversee sales and support for these products.
