Next Generation Digital Indicators
In addition to the many existing features of µMaxum indicators, the enhanced µMaxum II line offers a wide range of new features including: Dynamic Max, Min, tir; two point difference measurement; Multiplier Factor for ratio measurements; indicator serial number identification; resolution to 10µ"; selectable continuous output; and longer battery life.

Versatility of the new µMaxum II indicators is enhanced in a number of ways. Resolution is selectable in increments from 0.001"/0.02mm down to 0.00001"/0.0002mm to accommodate differing application requirements. Two-point difference measurement allows comparison of different readings or calculation of measured values. The addition of Multiple Factors for ratio measurements allows chordal-type measurements, useful for making ID/OD measurements using a V-plate, or for gage fixtures using lever-type non-direct contacts.

The µMaxum II line of digital Indicators is available in two models, the µMaxum II and the µMaxum II XL, which provides longer measuring ranges. All µMaxum units are lightweight – weighing as little as 6oz – and ruggedly built to withstand hard use. The gasketed case, crystal, and stem assemblies resist fluid contamination.

Also on display at EASTEC will be:
The new MarCheck measuring and evaluation unit for Mahr’s high precision Linear 100 universal length measuring instrument. MarCheck allows both measurements and calibrations to be performed quickly and reliably at the touch of a button.

A new generation of its popular line of MarCal digital calipers. Included are a number of innovations, such as lapped guideways, a new Reference System that retains the zero position setting, and an increased number of product options and accessories.

The new Digimar 816 CL height gage provides highly accurate measurements without complicated procedures. Robust design and user-friendly operation combine with advanced features and functionality to improve dimensional measurement on the shopfloor or in the lab.

A full range of Mahr Federal handheld gages and other dimensional metrology products will also be on display.

Expanded Selection of Toolholder Line
THINBIT offers an expansion to its selection of Groove ’N Turn toolholders, which are available in 3/4" and 1" square and are for making undercuts and thread reliefs at a 30°/60° angle. The toolholders are for use on conventional, Swiss, and CNC machines for grooving inserts in sizes from 0.004" to 0.150". Inserts are available in three grades of material: D2 for steels, D5 for non-ferrous, and HSS, with TiN, TiCN, and TiAlN, available as well. In addition, a full selection of radius and special configurations are available.

Also displayed during EASTEC will be an expansion to the THINBIT cutting tool line-up. Using FORM-A-GROOVE tooling, THINBIT can customize form tools to generate complex profiles in a single plunge. FORM-A-GROOVE tools can consist of combinations of simple grooves, or more complex combinations of grooves, arcs, angles, convex, and concave radii. Tools can be composed of stacks of individual inserts or a single carbide block up to 2" wide. FORM-A-GROOVE tools can simplify programming, increase production and free tool locations for other tools. Toolholders are available in 1" round and 1/2", 3/4", and 1" square for internal and external applications. FORM-A-GROOVE can be coated with TiN, TiCN, TiAIN, or diamond film coatings.

Multi-Tasking, 3-Axis, 5-Axis All on Display
The VMX30U 5-axis machining center, the TMX10MY high performance multi-tasking turning center with sub-spindle, and the 3-axis VM20 equipped with a rotary table will all be shown – showcasing the numerous benefits of WinMax8 software that powers its integrated control.

The VMX30U has an efficient trunnion table design and advanced 5-axis technology that simplifies the complexities of producing parts and molds with swept surfaces and contours. The inherent technology of the Hurco 5-axis machining centers minimizes the number of setups, eliminates scrap with powerful verification graphics, and delivers excellent surface finish with advanced smoothing algorithms.

The VMX30U has X, Y, and Z travels of 30", 20", 20.5", a 12,000rpm spindle standard with 15,000rpm high speed and 10,000rpm high torque options available.

The multi-tasking TMX10MY delivers precise surface finish with all digital control, drives, and motors with absolute encoders on all linear axes.

The VM20 has a small working footprint (96.8" x 70.8") for boasting a large work envelope (40" x 20" x 20"). The VM20 includes a 40-taper, 10,000rpm spindle and a 20-pocket, swing-arm tool changer.
