Sodick Grows with new Sales Coordinator
Rich Sato is the new sales coordinator for Japanese Accounts at Sodick Inc. Sato is responsible for supporting Sodick’s Japanese account customer base for the entire Sodick product range in the United States, reporting to Yuji Akutsu, executive vice president. Sato has more than 15 years of experience in similar positions and holds a Bachelor in Management. 2011 Mfg. Strong; 2012 Remains Positive
The resurgence of manufacturing following the crash of 2008 is unprecedented. The most current U.S. manufacturing technology orders put the year-to-date total at $4,529.11 million, up 80.5% compared with 2010 and are the second highest dollar amount in the last 15 years. The Midwest and Central regions of the United States have seen the greatest surge in manufacturing technology orders. Midwest manufacturing technology orders in 2011 are 105% more than the comparable figure for 2010. Another factor boosting U.S. manufacturing is the reshoring phenomenon. More work is coming back to the United States from foreign shores and there is greater foreign direct investment in U.S. facilities. The outlook for 2012 remains positive. Delcam’s PartMaker CAM software system now has a new website, partmaker.com, which details the many benefits that have prompted users with sophisticated machine tools to select PartMaker for their programming needs.
