Small Metal Spinnings
Acme Metal Spinning’s process seamlessly forms flat metal discs or pre-formed metal workpieces on CNC metal spinning lathes into conical, hemispherical, and cylindrical shapes. Designers needing small metal spun components will find a range of components available, including housings, cones, domes, flanges, spools, funnels, and more. Materials for metal spinning custom components include stainless steel, hot and cold roll steel, aluminum, nickel, copper, and brass.

Precision, Productivity
The FORM 200 mS, with rotary tool changer (RTC), delivers precise geometric quality and increased lights-out operation to micro-machining and other applications. Design of the FORM 200 mS is for optimizing all aspects of micro-machining, and when combined with the modular 16- to 160-position RTC, further increases flexibility and speed for micro-component production processes. In addition to standard machining capabilities, the FORM 200 mS offers a high degree of autonomy through an easy-to-use interface with functions dedicated specifically to micro machining.
With its MicroTEC discharge circuit, the FORM 200 mS is capable of power modulation, as well as maximizing material removal while accommodating undersize (<20µm) electrodes. FORM 200 mS also incorporates GF AgieCharmilles’ iQ technology, further increasing efficiency and productivity by significantly reducing electrode wear at faster machining speeds than other low-wear application settings.

Crown Gear Drives
Featuring heat treated AGMA Class 10 spiral bevel gears and non-magnetic stainless steel shafts, crown gear drives provide long term, maintenance free operation. They feature long-life, precision hardened and ground ball bearings, and handle speeds up to 2,000rpm in most operating environments. Permanently mounted to the shafts with locking pins, the internal gears provide a very resilient and durable connection while requiring no maintenance. Zero-Max ensures their drives are predictably smooth operating, and similar model sizes have identical performance characteristics when designed into multiple drive setups. Available in many sizes and models, they are idea for a wide range of horsepower, torgues, and shaft speed requirements.
