More medical shops relying on 3-C collets.
Small collets and fixtures are a must in the medical and biotech industries. And while for many years, the 5-C collet with its 1.062-in. capacity was the collet of choice, the 3-C collet with its 0.500-in. capacity is gaining popularity.
Zagar offers fixtures that use 3-C collets. Two are mechanical, and one is air/hydraulic in design. Shops requiring consistency use the mechanical fixtures, and those needing light or heavy holding pressure incorporate the air/hydraulic ones.
