The SMTCL VMC850B features the Fanuc 0i control with a 7-year mean time between failures (MTBF). SMTCL uses Fanuc drives, motors, resolvers, and other key components. In addition to the control components, SMTCL uses a GIFU 24-position side tool changer and a Spintech 10,000rpm spindle featuring a rotary union for coolant through the spindle. THK linear ways offer way lube pumped directly to the bearings. The VMC850B comes standard with a chip conveyer, oil skimmer, air gun, and coolant gun.
