With an exclusive agreement between Enfora L.P., a provider of wireless voice and data devices and invivodata, a supplier of electronic patient reported outcomes (ePRO), a global solution is available to those in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device field. Enfora's custom wireless modem cradle is incorporated into invivodata's DiaryPRO, an electronic patient diary.
With a single eDiary device, medical trial sponsors can upload patient data no matter in what country it is being used or the type of phone connection in the patient's home. Until now, trial sponsors have had to use a combination of wired and wireless eDiaries in their global clinical trials due to the variety of phone lines available around the world.
Due to differences in screen sizes and usability between wired and wireless handheld devices, there have been significant additional costs, time delays and data risks for sponsors. DiaryPRO meets eDiary needs in a single device. Essentially, wireless capabilities are available in the wired hand held devices.
