Ferrari 3D prints respirator parts using Stratasys Fortus machines (Video)

Italian automaker contributes to COVID-19 pandemic by aiding healthcare manufacturing.

Maranello, Italy – Ferrari has joined the global response to the COVID-19 pandemic, 3D-printing ventilator parts at an Italian R&D facility that typically produces prototype car parts.

Using Stratasys Fortus 3D printers, Ferrari is printing parts that adapt scuba equipment to act as protective masks for healthcare workers on the front lines of COVID-19 treatment. The parts, laser-etched with Ferrari’s stallion logo, are going to Solid Energy, an Italian company producing the snorkel masks.
