As President, Mohr will continue focusing on the importance of total customer care and the advantages of DMG / Mori Seiki 360 Support. He will work in tandem with Randall Harland, newly appointed Executive Vice President, National Sales, in leading the company’s domestic sales of DMG and Mori Seiki equipment, with both reporting to Natsuo (Jim) Okada, President of Mori Seiki Americas.
Previously, Mohr served as Executive Vice President, Service and Parts for DMG / Mori Seiki USA. Prior to the April 2010 collaboration between Gildemeister and Mori Seiki, Mohr had held positions as both Vice President, Engineering of Mori Seiki USA and President of the former Mori Seiki Mid-American Sales Group. With 15 years of prior experience in the machine tool business, he first joined Mori Seiki in 2002 as Sales Manager in the Chicago Technical Center.
“With these changes, our operation’s priority of customer satisfaction remains the same,” Mohr says. “The entire organization is focused on continuing the development of the DMG / Mori Seiki collaboration in all areas -- R&D, technology, education, service, parts, and partner products.”
Mohr is the successor to Thomas R. Dillon, who has taken on the recently created role of Vice Chairman. With over 30 years of manufacturing leadership, Dillon has fostered tremendous growth — and spearheaded the U.S. efforts in one of the most important machine tool collaborations in DMG and Mori Seiki’s history.
As Vice Chairman, says Dillon, “Customers will continue to be my number one priority, and in my new role, I will be advocating for them.” Specifically, Dillon will act as a distributor liaison to provide another channel of direct communication between DMG / Mori Seiki USA and its customers.
On Mark Mohr’s appointment, Dillon says, “He has been a terrific leader for Mori Seiki and DMG / Mori Seiki USA and I’m confident that his many qualities will be an asset to our continuing success.”
