The 28th International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) will take place at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL, the week of September 13-18, 2010. More than 1,100 exhibiting companies will occupy 1.2 million square feet of exhibit space in order to showcase their newest technologies to 92,000+ attendees from more than 115 countries.
AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technology will sponsor IMTS 2010. The show will feature machine tools, controls, computers, software, components, systems, and processes that are all designed to help improve the manufacturing professional’s efficiency. Attendees will gain valuable ideas and insight from leading equipment producers.
In addition to the 1,100+ exhibiting companies, there will be 54 technical presentation covering 6 topic tracts. These conferences were put in place by GIE Media, publishing company of Aerospace Manufacturing and Design, Today's Medical Developments, and Today's Energy Solutions, the conference coordinator. These industry-specific topic tracts are: Materials Engineering, Machining Technology & Trends, Alternative Manufacturing Processes, Metrology, Plant Operations, and Rapid Prototyping.

IMTS attendees registered for the Industry and Technology Conference sessions will be admitted to the luncheon program. Exhibiting company representatives will also be eligible to attend on an RSVP basis.
The week long show will kick of on Monday, September 13, 2010, during the all new 2010 Industry Inspiration Day luncheon. The luncheon, running from 12:00pm – 3:00pm, will feature speakers covering all four major industries. The line up includes: CEO of Airbus America (aerospace); President and CEO of Emergo Corp. (medical); V.P. of Global Manufacturing, Ford Motor (automotive); President and CEO of American Wind Energy Association (energy). A round-table panel discussion will conclude the 2010 Industry Inspiration Day luncheon.
