McLean, Virginia – After a successful first year, AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technologywill host the second annual Automation in Manufacturing (AIM) Conference. The conference will be June 4, 2015, at the MGM Grand in Detroit, Michigan. AMT has also issued a call for speakers.
This year’s theme will be “Building Our Manufacturing Future with Automation.” The conference will focus on the future of advanced manufacturing, with an emphasis on state-of-the-art, innovative automation.
“The U.S. faces a significant challenge as we strive to hold on to our strong manufacturing base; therefore, the call to automate is greater than ever,” said Rick Blake, President, Edgewater Automation LLC, and AMT’s AIM Group Chairman. “The AIM Conference emphasizes investing in techniques to build the equipment to make products more accurately, faster and cheaper. I see automation as the foundation for economic revival and as an opportunity for young people to invest in their futures, their communities, and their country.”
There will be an evening welcome reception on June 3, 2015, prior to the conference. The one-day event will consist of presentations by major industry users of automation, as well as builders/integrators. The conference will also feature panelist discussions, forecasts on the role of automation, a renowned keynote speaker, and valuable opportunities for networking. The AIM Conference is looking for speaker proposals from industry leaders who can share their insights on automation and its place in determining the future of advanced manufacturing. Please send speaker proposals to Malcolm Mason, global services director, AMT, at msmason@amtonline.org.
