GE Healthcare is launching a device that coordinates medical records, diagnostic images and laboratory results to make it easier for doctors to monitor the health of a patient.
The General Electric Co. unit says the Carescape Monitor B850 can be used to monitor electrocardiograms, electronic health records, images such as X-rays, laboratory reports, and diagnoses from experts. Carescape can coordinate records from a variety of systems, and hospitals that use it will not have to use and transport multiple other devices to evaluate a patient's health, GE states.
GE Healthcare says the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Carescape B850.
