Two Promotions at Cinetic Landis Facilities

Promotions at company are of John Leone to VP & GM, and Steve Thiry to Executive Vice President.

Dan Pheil, president & CEO of Cinetic Landis Corp. announces the promotion of John Leone to vice president & general manager of the Consumables Operation of Cinetic Landis Corp., comprised of CITCO Tools and Gardner Abrasive, at the company’s Concord Township, OH, facility.

In addition, Pheil announces that at the company’s Headquarters, Hagerstown, MD, Steve Thiry is the new Executive Vice President for the machinery group of Cinetic Landis Corp., member of the Fives Cinetic Division of the global Fives Group of companies.

“Since joining the company in December 2008, John Leone has been instrumental in developing and executing our successful “go-to-market” strategy for the consumable group,” Pheil says. “He will continue to lead the sales & marketing function as well as taking responsibility for both the operating and strategic plan.”

Leone has an extensive background in highly engineered industrial product sales and marketing, having worked with direct sales personnel, independent manufacturer’s representatives, and distributors worldwide. 

“Mr. Thiry has significant international business experience that will aid Cinetic Landis Corp. in remaining the global market leader for crankshaft, camshaft and connecting rod grinders,” Pheil states. “He will also assist us in continuing to diversify our customer base for Landis cylindrical grinders, Landis Cincinnati centerless grinders, and Landis Giustina double disc grinders.” 

Thiry’s broad functional business experiences are in the critical areas of strategy formulation, sales management, product and market development, merger and acquisitions and employee development. He was most recently CEO at WisConn Investments LLC and White Cap Real Estate LLC. Thiry has also held executive positions at the Association for Manufacturing Technology (AMT), Crane Co. and Ingersoll Rand.
