ITT Interconnect Solutions, a leading global manufacturer and supplier of connectors, interconnects, and cable assemblies, has developed a miniature zero insertion force high reliability connector for portable medical equipment. Designated QLC, the connector is the most recent addition to ITT's proven line of DL Series ZIF connectors. The QLC connector features a 260-position pin count and is constructed with a lightweight aluminum shell.
"The high pin count, miniature size, and superior reliability provide customers with an ideal solution for portable ultrasound machines, as well as other portable imaging equipment," said Keith Teichmann, director of marketing for ITT Interconnect Solutions. "The QLC connector is also one of the most economical cost-per-mated-line I/O connectors currently available on the market."
In addition to portable medical equipment, the QLC connector is specified for use in semiconductor manufacturing equipment, test instruments and industrial control box connections.
The QLC connector features a quick-disconnect latch, providing easy mating and unmating, as well as EMI and RFI shielding. The robust connector is capable of withstanding up to 20,000 mating cycles.
