A new forum has been announced for Oct. 30, 2013. Co-sponsored by Specialty Coating Systems (SCS), Oliver Tolas, Zestron, NAMSA, and Amsonic, the one-day seminar, "Designing Medical Devices: Advanced Solutions for Today's Designers," will educate engineers on various aspects of the medical device design process, including regulatory affairs, cleaning, device coating, final preparation, and packaging.
Headlining the event is Keynote Speaker Georg Bauer, department manager foreign affairs, from TUV SUD Product Service GmbH. Bauer's presentation, "Medical Device Registration and Listing in the USA," will focus on 510(k) premarket notification. Presentations throughout the day will appeal to engineers in many disciplines, including R&D, design, manufacturing, quality, materials, and electronics, as well as to those involved in regulatory affairs and product management.
The Designing Medical Devices forum will be held at the La Meridien Hotel in Frankfurt, Germany, which offers close proximity to the airport and train station. Admission to the Oct. 30, 2013, seminar is free, pre-registration is required. An evening reception will be available to those wishing to arrive the evening before.
