The Association For Manufacturing Technology (AMT), representing U.S.-based providers of manufacturing technology – the advanced machinery, devices, and digital equipment that U.S. manufacturing relies on to be productive, innovative, and competitive – announce that its annual Distribution Summit (D19) will be held Sept. 11-12, 2019 in Detroit at the MGM Grand. D19 is the industry’s premier opportunity for distributors, builders and suppliers to network and learn more about new techniques for communicating with customers and prospects, learn how to keep customers engaged and educated about new technologies affecting the industry, and learn how to better leverage current programs to better support and improve sales and customer support.

The summit’s theme – Building a New Path to Your Customers – will address ways to leverage technology to better connect with customers. The summit will feature networking opportunities, speakers who are leaders in their fields, and a panel discussion on the Future of Distribution.

D19 speakers include Justin Roff Marsh, author of The Machine, whose presentation “The Death of Field Sales” will explore why an inside-out approach to sales will reduce costs, multiply sales activity, and improve customer service quality; Daniel Disney, author, trainer, and founder of the podcast The Daily Sales, will discuss how selling with the help of social media can work together with sales meetings and calls to create the best of both worlds; and Matt Conway, market strategy consultant and sales trainer, who will discuss best practices and tips for writing effective and persuasive emails.

“For Royal, much of the value at D19 is the networking opportunities. The deeper our relationships are with the professionals in our industry, the more successful we will be going forward. We come away from every event with a few strategies and actionable items that make our company more effective,” said Tom Sheridan, president of Royal Products.
