As it is not only important to offer affordable machines in economically uncertain times, GILDEMEISTER has now developed the DMG ECOLINE, but this product line additionally stands out for its high efficiency and functionality. The range includes innovative DMG cutting edge technology, components from reputable manufacturers and unbeatable value for money. DMG ECOLINE is also visually attractive – with sleek lines, large inspection windows made of safety glass, and high-quality matt white surfaces.
Some machine tools simply cannot be improved – but they can be made more affordable. In this respect, GILDEMEISTER, as the leader in technology and innovation in international machine tool engineering, has created a new world standard in entry level machines with the ECOLINE series. The key to success: DMG has combined the respected high quality of its advanced machines with consistent standardisation and a simple, reliable design to achieve an internationally unique package.
The universal lathes CTX 310 eco and CTX 510 eco, the two vertical machining centres DMC 635 V eco and DMC 1035 V eco, as well as the horizontal machining centre DMC 55 H eco each offer innovative technology at the highest level, resulting in unrivalled performance in their class and, in particular, unparalleled value for money in the technological sectors of turning and milling.
Universal turning in ECOLINE format
Even in the standard version, the CTX 310 eco features a VDI 30 turret with 12 tool stations, of which 6 stations can be optionally equipped for driven tools where the main spindle is available as the C axis. In addition, the basic equipment includes the automatically travelling tailstock for bar machining, as well as the linear guides in all axes to ensure process stability and workpiece precision. All axes are equipped with digital drives that allow feed speeds of 24 m/min in the X axis and 30 m/min in the Z axis.
With advanced 3D CNCs from Siemens and Fanuc with a colour screen of up to 15“, a full keyboard and electronic handwheel, the CTX 310 eco offers sound hardware performance. In addition, it offers a large number of convenient software features to aid the user on the shop floor, especially the integrated ShopTurn software of the Siemens control system and the Manual Guide i of the Fanuc CNC. Both systems allow the user to find the quickest route from the drawing to the machined workpiece. Other distinctive features of the control systems are the powerful tool management system, the graphics-assisted set-up mode and the comprehensive graphics-assisted diagnostic functionality.
In addition to the basic packages with or without driven tools and C axis, DMG offers options for an individual “fine tuning” of the CTX 310 eco. Attractively priced standard option packages are also available to allow the customers to adapt the machine to their requirements: the chip removal package with chip conveyor and a set of soft chucks; a presetting package with manual tool measuring device and chip conveyor; a bar machining package with chip conveyor, a connection for bar feed systems or bar loading magazine and a workpiece pick-off device; and the 4-colour signal light that is provided with all packages.
Vertical milling centre with a unique combination of features
The two vertical milling centres, DMC 635 V eco and DMC 1035 V eco, comparable to the ECOLINE lathes, offer a number of advanced features even in the basic versions, making them unique in the entry level vertical milling sector. The productivity highlights are the powerful 8,000 rpm milling spindle with 83 Nm torque, the tool magazine for 20 tools with a twin gripper for short tool change times of only 1.6 seconds and dynamic axis drives for feed speeds of up to 25m/min.
International top class control technology is provided in the DMG ControlPanel with a large 15“ TFT screen (Siemens 810D) and handwheel. The 3D CNC Siemens 810D control system not only offers up to 50% faster programming due to the ShopMill software and intuitive 3D operator guidance included in the standard version, but also optimum production reliability due to the 3D simulation which is part of the delivery scope.
The sturdy grey cast iron C-frame design of the vertical machining centres DMC 635 V eco and DMC 1035 eco with the X axis in the table meets maximum rigidity requirements and ultimately forms the basis for exceptional precision during highly efficient milling. Stability and precision are further guaranteed by the roller guides in all axes and the proven three-point machine support that also shortens and simplifies commissioning. The easily accessible machining compartment offers the perfect conditions for short set up times. The machining range (in X, Y and Z) of the DMC 635 V eco is 635 x 510 x 460 mm, and the machining range of the DMC 1035 V eco is 1,035 x 560 x 510 mm.
The product range of the two machines is rounded off by a number of intelligent extension possibilities and special options. These include an infrared measuring sensor and the tool measuring system from Heidenhain, a coolant/blast air change-over function, as well as a safety package for power failures. DMG also offers two optional packages: The chip removal package with chip conveyor, rinsing gun and 4-colour signal light is specifically aimed at manufacturers producing components in series. For those with particularly high demands on precision, DMG offers a precision package with direct path measuring systems in all axes and Blum laser for integrated tool measurement.
High-tech horizontal machining centre with best price guarantee
The new horizontal machining centre DMC 55 H eco demonstrates the entire range of development expertise of the GILDERMEISTER Group. This innovative high-tech horizontal machining centre with best price guarantee stands out for its unparalleled performance features for one-off and series production and for its patented duoBLOCK construction and attractive first-buy conditions.
The conveniently accessible machining compartment ensures ease of operation right from the start. The 560mm x 600mm x 600mm traverse area of the axes in the X, Y and Z direction is also generously dimensioned, the pallets having a 400mm x 400mm clamping surface. The fast feed and rapid traverse speeds of 50m/min in all axes ensure short positioning times.
As far as the milling performance is concerned, the DMC 55 H eco achieves a torque of 110Nm at a rating of 20kW (at a 40% duty time) thanks to the fast and powerful motor spindle with a speed of up to 12,000rpm (optionally 18,000rpm). In addition to the 360° rotary table in the standard version, an optional NC circular table offering 1,550Nm of torque is available on the workpiece side. Positioning times of 0.8 and 1.2 s at 90° or 180° (NC circular table) further reduce the machining times. Additionally, the 45 position wheel magazine offers sufficient flexibility and also high productivity with a chip-to-chip time of 3.9 seconds.
Extension possibilities and options that can be selected according to the particular application are available for the DMC 55 H eco in the same way as for the CTX 310 eco and DMC 635 V eco. This includes direct measuring systems as well as various measuring probes and performance packages. The coolant-lubricant package with 600 litre coolant system, paper band-pass filter, 15 bar internal coolant supply through the spindle centre and a roof rinsing unit for the machining compartment; the production package with 980 litre coolant system, paper band-pass filter, 40 bar internal coolant supply through the spindle centre, a roof rinsing unit, as well as a rotating inspection window to give the operator an optimum view of the machining compartment during milling.
