Eriez Orange U metalworking demo, training vehicle

Erie, Pennsylvania – Eriez introduces the Orange University Metalworking Demonstration and Training Vehicle, a 32ft Peterbilt diesel rig with a 24ft equipment showroom. This state-of-the-art truck will travel throughout North America, delivering hands-on training and education to customers and distributors. The first tour will kick-off in early October. 

The Orange University Metalworking Demonstration and Training Vehicle is filled with magnetic and vibratory material handling products as well as equipment from the company’s HydroFlow fluid recycling and fluid filtration line. The current layout features SafeHold lifting magnets, magnetic conveyors, vibratory feeders, magnetic finish mill unloaders, ProGrade magnetic separators, Magna-Rails and Magna Rolls, sump cleaners, portable and tank side coalescers, drum top mixers, and belt skimmers. 

On-board computer systems, a SMART Board, sound system, and Internet capabilities enhance the interactive experience for visitors. With cutting-edge technology at their fingertips, session leaders can show photos and video presentations, customize drawings, pull up brochures, and fulfill other customer requests on-demand.

“Our primary objective with the Orange University Metalworking Demonstration and Training Vehicle is to assist customers in finding economical and effective solutions to their material handling, metal contamination, and fluid recycling and filtration challenges through demonstrations, workshops, and hands-on learning activities offered right in their own parking lots,” says Andrew Kloecker, manager-metalworking distributor sales. “Additionally, we’ll be able to bring the truck to visit Eriez distributor sales staff offices to provide continuing education so they are better able to serve their customers in the field.” 

The Eriez Orange University Program is the umbrella under which Eriez offers free educational resources, tools, testing, and training opportunities. In addition to the Metalworking Demonstration and Training Vehicle, Orange University includes the Mobile Training and Education Center for Light Industry and the Eriez Technical Center as well as a wide array of additional online components such as videos, selection/specification calculators, a literature library, newsletters, magnet safety information, and articles.
