Fonon offers additive nano powder manufacturing technology

Lake Mary, Florida – Fonon' s 3D FUSION or 3D laser metal sintering (printing) process is an emerging additive NANO powder manufacturing technology with a presence in the medical industry as well as manufacturing (mold fabrication and repair), defense, aerospace, and high technology engineering and electronics sectors.

3D laser metal printing is a digitally driven additive manufacturing process that fuses together layer by layer of metal NANO powders with high quality focused laser energy to form functional 3D metal objects. Our 3D metal printing process is formed from 3D CAD design files layered every 10 microns to 100 microns. Fusion between the layers is happening in a tightly controlled vacuum or inert gas process atmosphere, particularly necessary for titanium and some other oxygen sensitive metals. Once complete, the part undergoes post processing, including heat treatment, surface finishing and coating as per part design specification.

Robert Hunt, the company spokesman, stated "We are one of the pioneering professional laser equipment companies in the USA who stepped into additive manufacturing. We believe that our vast experience in the design and manufacture of laser tools installed at most major Fortune 500 manufacturing companies will guarantee the broader penetration of exciting 3D metal fusion into industrial space. We intend to replace the generic approach to 3D metal prototyping and replace it with development of specialized high productivity 3D fusion systems to fit specific applications. For example the system for jewelry printing will be completely different from the laserfusion system capable of manufacturing medical contact pads or missile war heads."
