Gibbs and Associates, developer of GibbsCAM®, software for programming CNC machine tools, announced today that at the invitation of INDEX Corporation, GibbsCAM was featured at the INDEX Open House held September 8th – 9th at Index's corporate facilities in Noblesville, IN. Open house visitors were able to see how GibbsCAM helps users maximize the productivity of their Index machine tools.
“We were extremely pleased to support INDEX at this event,” stated Robb Weinstein, Gibbs and Associates' Senior Vice-President of Sales and Strategic Planning. “Multi-task machine tools represent one of the fastest growing segments of machine tools and INDEX is a key provider worldwide. As a matter of fact, INDEX customers are a growing percentage of GibbsCAM MTM users.”
In today's highly competitive international manufacturing market, the demand for and popularity of multi-task machine tools continues to grow. Multi-task machine tools' ability to completely machine a part without any operator intervention makes them extremely productive, low labor cost machines to operate, which results in increased profitability
Gibbs' participation at this INDEX event is a continuation of a collaborative partnership between the two companies which ensures GibbsCAM supports Index's multi-task machine tools, such as the ABC, G200 and G300 models. GibbsCAM will provide INDEX customers with a powerful NC programming solution able to support the wide variety of multi-task machine tool capabilities and configurations INDEX offers.
