Hardinge Inc. received the 2011 "Supplier Excellence Award" from Magnus Precision Manufacturing Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Floturn Inc.
Magnus Precision, located in Phelps, NY, is a world supplier of precision machined components serving the aerospace, medical, optical, and high-end industrial markets.
Magnus has purchased machine tools from Hardinge for more than 30 years.
"It is a pleasure to recognize Hardinge as a premier machine tool supplier," Don Miller, an Elmira native and business development director at Magnus, said in a prepared statement. "With Hardinge's continued commitment, support, and innovative machine tool technologies, it has allowed us to continually meet and exceed our global customers' requirements."
