Hexagon Metrology is offering a free live webinar on reverse engineering techniques using PC-DMIS Reshaper software on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 from 10:30 am to 11:00 am central daylight time. PC-DMIS Reshaper is a standalone software product specializing in point cloud collection, processing, and meshing tasks. The software quickly coverts 3D data into usable formats for CAD design, rapid prototyping and other forms of 3D manipulation. Anyone interested in learning about the reverse engineering process is invited to the informative session. The webinar signup page contains the complete details and system requirements: https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/193913680.
Ute Burton, a senior application engineer for ROMER portable arm products, will present the session using live screen capture so viewers can follow along with each phase of the process. During the 30 minute webinar, the main steps of reverse engineering will be covered: data collection, point cloud cleanup and editing, creation of polygonal mesh models, editing of mesh models, and finally, section cuts that can be exported into other 3D design software.
A live question and answer session will follow the presentation. Archived versions of the webinar are posted within two weeks of the live event at www.PC-DMIS.com.
