Hyundai WIA has recently added a number of seasoned professionals to its staff, thus building a strong group of experienced talent, hand-picked from the metalworking community.
Service Manager Bill Lewis has 30-plus years of experience in metalworking, serving as Service Manager and Applications Engineer at Okuma America and Haas Automation as well as 10 years of experience in supporting various Taiwanese brands. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a degree in Manufacturing Engineering.
Lewis states, “I am proud to represent Hyundai WIA as Service Manager. As I tell my colleagues, being on par in terms of price and quality only gets you into the game. Service wins the game. My goal is to facilitate Hyundai WIA toward being a world-class service organization.”
Marketing Manager for the Americas David Barber brings nearly 20 years of manufacturing/metalworking experience to the Hyundai WIA organization. His experience includes marketing positions at Technical Equipment Sales, Bridgeport Machines, Inc., United Grinding Technologies, Hardinge, Inc. and most recently, IMC Metal Fabrication Group. He is a graduate of University of Cincinnati College of Business.
According to Barber, “Hyundai WIA has made great strides in recent years to grow its breadth of product and is now poised to become a true contender in the machine tool arena. My mission will be to make sure the metalworking community is aware of all the innovations being brought to market by Hyundai WIA...of which there are many.”
Regional Sales Manager for the Eastern USA and Canada Phil Misseldine brings nearly 40 years of metalworking experience to Hyundai WIA, most recently as an Applications Engineer at Doosan. He was educated at the Cambridge College of Arts and Technology, in Cambridge, England.
Misseldine adds that “I am very excited to bring my 40 years of experience in machine tools to Hyundai WIA in support of our Eastern US and Canadian distributors…as together we work with local manufacturers, big and small, to improve productivity and output.”
“Hyundai WIA has very aggressive plans to continue to grow in both staff size and technology innovation, bringing to the market the most game-changing machine tool offerings in North and South America,” Barber concludes.
