Show management for IMTS - The International Manufacturing Technology Show reports positive news following initial booth assignments for IMTS 2010 which runs September 13 - 18, 2010 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois. Over 850 exhibitors have contracted more than 1,100,000 square feet of exhibit space for IMTS 2010.
Historically, IMTS events have been key stimulators during economic downturns in manufacturing. Compared to the same time prior to IMTS 2008, the exhibit space square footage is nearly identical and the number of exhibitors only slightly less. Some exhibitors have actually been assigned to larger space, a request they have made for many show cycles.
“We are confident that IMTS 2010 is poised to play a continuing role in the recovery of the manufacturing industry, stated Peter Eelman, Vice President – Exhibitions for IMTS. “These strong initial numbers show that there is confidence in manufacturing and we as an industry are primed for recovery.”
