About the speaker

Jim Kosmala joined Okuma America Corporation in 2012 as Vice President of Engineering and Technology and is responsible for engineering, OSP controls and new technologies for Okuma machine tool applications in North, Central and South America. Prior to joining Okuma, Mr. Kosmala directed ABB Robotics’ Channel and Market Development team, covering the US, and led ABB’s southern US sales team.  Before joining ABB, he held various engineering, sales, and management positions at FANUC Robotics, having joined FANUC in 1992 and serving as General Manager from 2000 to 2009. Mr. Kosmala had previously served as lead controls engineer for Saturn Corporation, a division of General Motors Corporation. He holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master’s in Business Administration from Vanderbilt University.
