IMTS 2016 Fluid Power Conference: Energy Conservation in Pneumatic Systems

Chicago, Illinois - This presentation will define energy conservation, explain the benefits of energy conservation, and define areas where energy conservation can be applied.  This subject was developed for the benefit of plant managers, design engineers and maintenance personnel who have a concern or responsibility to control the costs and environmental impact of energy use in their facility. Topics covered are applicable to OEMs and end-users of pneumatic equipment. 

About the speaker

Jon Jensen is the Energy Conservation Group Manager for SMC Corporation of America.  Prior to leading the Energy Conservation Group, Jon served for nearly 10 years as SMC’s North American Training Manager. He came to SMC in 2001 as a technical representative, fielding customer requests for advice on part numbers, spare parts, and product applications. Jon holds his Pneumatic Specialist (CFPPS) and Electronic Controls Specialist Certifications (CFPECS), and also serves as an Accredited Instructor for the International Fluid Power Society. 

About the company

Headquartered in the city of Indianapolis, Indiana, SMC Corporation of America started service in the US market in 1972.
