Medical device maker Leis Medical, part of IMDS, will use a $1 million loan and a $142,900 job creation tax credit to expand its facility in Vandalia, Ohio, according to Ohio’s Department of Development.
Leis, which is near Dayton, is planning a $3.5 million project that should create 40 jobs and retain more than 260 positions.
IMDS, which is headquartered in Utah, was formed in 2007 after it merged with MedicineLodge and Leis. Leis focuses largely on making orthopedic implants and instruments for the medical device industry. In February the company acquired Cencast Corporation.
