Dubois, Pennsylvania – Magnet Applications Inc., a leading provider of compression bonded magnets, injection molded magnets and magnetic assemblies to the medical, automotive, defense, and aerospace industries, has added two magnetic powder compaction presses and new self-contained state-of-the-art coating booth. These equipment additions strengthens the American company’s prominent position in magnet design and manufacturing.
“This significant financial investment in new equipment reflects Magnet Applications’ commitment to meeting any marketplace demands in magnets and magnetic assemblies,” comments Don Lindstrom, general manager, Magnet Applications Inc. “Thanks to multiple presses with a variety of tonnage capabilities , we can now design, manufacture and ship virtually any compression bonded, injection molded or custom fabricated magnet in one U.S.-based location, providing faster lead times and lower freight costs for our customers.
“Complementing the equipment, and making Magnet Applications a true Center of Excellence, is our in-house engineering, assembly and quality assurance teams all working in a Lean-based, ISO certified, ITAR registered manufacturing environment.”
The family-owned company also recently installed in-house coating booth which allows dust-free coating with a variety of epoxy coatings as well as other spray paints. The totally enclosed booth is equipped for single, rapid prototype orders, coating samples and evaluations as well as coating in production-level quantities.
