The National Association for Business Resources (NABR) recently named Seco Tools one of the “Best and Brightest Companies to Work For” in the country. It is also the third time this year Seco has received an award for its best practices in human resources.
In addition to this latest accolade, Corp! Magazine identified Seco as one of “Metropolitan Detroit’s 101 Best Places to Work For” and the Detroit Free Press listed the company as one of the “Top 100 Workplaces” in Michigan.
“It’s certainly a great honor to be acknowledged as a top workplace at the local level, but being nationally recognized is truly amazing,” says Jennifer Ostroff, HR programs manager for Seco. “Seco puts a lot of time and effort into making sure its employees stay motivated, engaged and inspired, and these top workplace distinctions help validate the company’s role as an employer of choice.”
Seco’s commitment to its employees includes:
- Ensuring leaders inspire and build trust through transparency and accessibility
- Offering comprehensive training so employees achieve optimal performance and reach their personal career goals
- Building cross-functional teams to drive future company growth
- Maintaining a comprehensive benefits plan that exceeds traditional practices
- Providing an environment where employees feel valued and rewarded.
An independent research firm reviewed several key measures when selecting the 89 “Best and Brightest Companies to Work For” in the country. Such measures included communication, community initiatives, compensation and benefits, diversity and multiculturalism, employee education and development, employee engagement and commitment, recognition and retention, and recruitment and selection.
“Nationally recognized award recipients keep innovative human resources initiatives at the forefront of their company culture and make it a priority to consider their workforce as an essential aspect in their company success. Our Association is proud to recognize and honor these winning companies for this fine achievement,” says Jennifer Kluge, NABR president.
Seco and the other businesses being nationally recognized will be part of the January online edition of Corp! Magazine. These companies will also receive additional recognition at a “Best and Brightest Companies to Work For” awards symposium and gala.
